24th World Scout Jamboree 2019

Calling all Scouts and Scouters!


WHAT: The 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, USA. Camp with over 60 000 Scouts from around the world whilst experiencing a full and exciting programme.


WHO: Scouts born between 22 July 2001 and 21 July 2005 and adult leaders born before 22 July 2001.

WHEN: 22 July – 2 August 2019 plus a pre- or post-tour of five days to a week (dates of tour tba).

COST: Estimated cost of R60 000,00 pp, which includes all food, accommodation, transport, the pre- or post-tour and camp uniform. Price subject to currency fluctuations. To help reduce costs SCOUTS SA will probably be seeking a R10 000,00 deposit payable by end November 2017.

PREP: Scouts younger than 15 will require at least their Adventurer and Scouts older than 15 will require at least their First Class. Scouters who want to apply to help run a Jamboree Troop will require a scout warrant or (preferably) a scout woodbadge and experience running a troop. So get working!!!
