A devastating fire ripped through the Masiphumelele informal settlement near Fish Hoek yesterday afternoon and through the night. More than a thousand homes were destroyed. We appeal for donations of:
- Non-perishable food items such as tins, cereals, etc.
- Toiletries
- Blankets
- Clothing and shoes
- Toys
Taking into account COVID prevention measures, we would appreciate it if Districts collect locally and then arrange for drop off at the National & Western Cape office . The National & Western Cape Scout Office at 124 Belvedere Road in Claremont will be used as the drop off point.
It will be open on:
- Friday, 18 December from 17:00-18:00;
- Saturday, 19 December from 9:00-10:00; and
- Sunday, 20 December from 9:00-10:00.
The Two Ocean District will assist with the distribution of the items.
