Cubs all over the country have been celebrating the centenary of Cubbing. We have been trying to find out why our Cubs thinks that Cubbing Rocks! We spoke to Bakang Diseko (8) from 5th Ikageng Cub Pack in the North West.

IMG-20160614-WA0000[1]SSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is fun because we eat and play a lot!

SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience is when we can learn by doing things for ourselves.

SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
The weirdest thing I have eaten outdoors is apple tartar.

SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge was how to do and cook that apple tartar.

SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place I visited with the Cubs was the museum!

SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I have learnt to share with others and to help them.

SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
I helped the old lady to carry her groceries as we do our good turn to somebody every day without any reward.

SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
Nothing because she is a Pack Scouter herself.

SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela is somebody who is soft and friendly.

SSA: Why is your Akela special?
She is special because she always smiles and never punishes us.

Cubbing Rocks because … it is fun and more enjoyable!
