How to get your badge?

The City Nature Challenge 2024 event badges are awarded for submitting a minimum of 10 verifiable observations (not for just taking photos).

To obtain the badge there needs to be 10 observations of wildlife uploaded – and synched to the iNaturalist App within the timeframe. Parent and Scouter assistance in achieving the objective may be needed for our younger members. Please bear in mind that an observation may become unverifiable sometime after it is submitted, so your observation count might actually drop – therefore ensure that you make more than ten observations to be certain to qualify!

A list of all those usernames who have achieved ten or more observations will be published on the SCOUTS South Africa website after the challenge (www.scouts.org.za/news). A notice will be sent through the SSA D6 App to let you know the names are there.
