  • How far is the venue from the George Airport? 13km
  • What is the sleeping situation? There is plenty of space for tents.
  • How far is the closest hospital? George hospital is 12km from the campsite.
  • Will there be emergency services available? Yes, there will be a trained emergency service professional available on site.
  • What are the options for activities for me to do? Please refer to the activities page.
  • What are the ablution blocks like? There is a main abolition block available with 3 latrines and 2 showers for each gender. Additional porter potties will be hired if necessary.
  • Is there electricity available? Plugs are available for use (where available) in the vicinity of the meeting room and kitchen. Extension cords will only be allowed to be run to tents for medical purposes.
  • What if I’m not 18 now but I will be by the Moot dates? As long as you are 18 before or on Thursday the 27th of April, then you are welcome to attend. No exceptions to this.
  • What if I decide to leave Rovers after I have paid and secured my spot? You will be reimbursed.
  • Why does Aiden want to be like Robert when he’s older? Because he is a legend
  • What should I do if I have indicated a certain amount for the activities but life happens and that amount needs to change?  Contact Amber, she’s got your back when it comes to admin.
  • Is there a dam? Yes.
  • Is there firewood at the campsite for me to have my own fire going by my tent? There is indeed.
  • Is there cell phone reception? Service provider dependent.
  • What are SubCrews? They are your ‘patrols’ for the course of the moot. Each SubCrew needs a leader for paperwork purposes. These SubCrews will be Rovers who have shown a similar interest in additional activities during registration with approximately the same available budget for said additional activities.
  • Will I find love at the Moot? The MOC agree that they fully support a love story forming from the Moot.
  • Why does the Moot start and end at around lunch time? So that everyone has enough time from the night before to travel to Moot venue and comfortably return home after the end of Moot for the following morning.
