For the first time in history the St Mary’s Scout Group participated in the Remembrance Day parade at Grahamstown Church Square.

We are extremely proud of the St Mary’s Scout Group for their commitment, eagerness and confidence on Sunday 12 November. We must agree that they looked very nice in their uniform 😊

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Basill Mills and his son Stephen for the very important role they played in training the kids for the march as well as making the wreath and badges for the Group. St. Mary’s DCC values this partnership and cannot wait to be working with you in the near future.

The children of St Mary’s Scout Group also had the opportunity to meet the Executive Mayor of Makhanda (previously Grahamstown), Ms. Yandisa Vara. How exciting!😀

And last but not least, thank you to Scouter Ms. Nosipho and the kids for the amazing work done! Thank you to the larger team of St. Mary’s DCC for making this day a reality for the Scout Group.

St Mary’s Scout Group was not the only Scout Group to take part in Remembrance Day activities. View the gallery HERE.
