A little goes a long way #bagsofhope

Well done to the Cubs of 1st Bryanston’s Friday and Saturday Cub Packs for making 120 Bags of Hope* #MandelaDay!

“We delivered the Bags of Hope to the Bryanston Methodist church for them to use for their feeding scheme and soup kitchen. The church cooks a hot meal every Tuesday and Thursday night which they hand out to all the under privileged people in the community. They will also add the bags of hope to food parcels which they hand out to the less fortunate”, explains Friday Pack Scouter Marisa Rakic.

“A total of 45 Cubs took part both from the Friday and Saturday Packs and 6 Cub leaders! The Cubs each brought a few contributions and by making the bags of hope, the Cubs got to realise that everybody’s contribution goes a long way. They also learned it is good to do a good turn to others wherever you can. A little goes a long way.”
