Take 10 minutes out of your weekend between 24 and 27 April 2026 to go outdoors and explore and appreciate the world we live in! SCOUTS SA is once again participating in the global City Nature Challenge!
Being surrounded by nature and learning fun facts about the biodiversity around us, ties into our Scouting adventures and ethos!
All it takes to join the global City Nature Challenge bioblitz is to:
- Download the iNaturalist App,
- Snap photos of plants, animals, insects, fungi, etc. in your garden, local park or nature reserve,
- Upload them on the App,
- Link them to the SCOUTS South Africa project.
Scouting members who submit 10 or more valid observations will be able to wear a CNC2026 badge on their uniform! Also, you can decide whether to spend 10 minutes or 2 hours exploring and taking photos.
