It’s Happening! The 10th National SA Rover Moot

Save the date, ensure you are free, and prepare yourself for the 10th National Rover Moot from 12 – 16 December 2025 @ Arrowe Park in Johannesburg.  Here is the first sneak peek of what’s shaping up to be an unforgettable event for our Rovers nationwide.

A logo that soars

You might have noticed our stunning new logo! The 10th National Rover Moot logo was a collaborative creation by our team, with the concept developed by Daniel Hartridge and the final design by Tanna Bailes. Inspired by the bird theme of the 2nd Africa Scout Moot coming up in 2026, the team wanted to bring it closer to home for our National event this year.

The Hadeda Ibis is known for its iridescent feathers and unmistakable call. This beautiful bird is featured on the Gauteng regional badge, and it felt only right to incorporate its colours and spirit into the National Moot logo. It’s a bird that’s bold, unapologetic, and very much at home in the natural surroundings of  Gauteng— just like the Rovers who’ll be joining us at Moot.

Who Can Join?

  • The Moot is open to Rovers aged 18–30 (born between 1996 and 2007). Not currently a Rover, but of Rover age, don’t worry, we will be opening up applications later to Troop Scouters and Assistant Troop Scouters too, so keep an eye on our social media channels!
  • International Rovers are welcome too! Contact our International Committee Chair, Sarah Chester-Browne at [email protected] for the details on how to take part.
  • If you’re born before 1996, you can still join the fun as part of our IST (International Service Team). There’s a role for everyone!
