Every year, the SCOUTS SA annual badge recognises elements of our programmes, our national challenges, or the events we are commemorating.
This year will be a very busy year for us, and so the 2026 annual badge reflects a number of key elements:
- The ‘green’ Africa celebrates the commitment of SCOUTS South Africa’s members in building a greener, more sustainable Africa through the many Scouts for SDGs initiatives around the country.
- By placing Africa at the centre, we also want to highlight the upcoming Africa events that we are hosting in 2026, namely Africa Scout Day and the 2nd Africa Scout Moot.
- The Scout scarf tied with a friendship knot represents the friendships and bonds formed through Scouting, both locally and internationally.
- The orange colour pays tribute to Africa Scout Day, which we are hosting in March 2026. The hybrid event will combine international friendship, sharing of skills and experiences, and programmes-on-a-plate for Groups to run throughout the continent.
